Don’t forget this today…
Happy New Years Eve!
It’s time for celebration, parties and ringing-in the New Year – ALMOST! For right now, it’s still the last day of 2012 and as excited as you may be about what next year will bring (or to say goodbye to this year), be careful not to get ahead of yourself just yet.
Before you leap into New Year’s Resolutions and goals, I have one challenge for you today (it’s short and sweet) to close out the year in style. Without this crucial step, it’s all to easy to feel like you haven’t accomplished much (when the truth is, you have gotten a lot done), and cheat yourself out of a well-deserved pat on the back. So, take a few minutes today to acknowledge and savor your wins this year!
Goodbye 2012! Thanks for the memories!
Take a moment to look back past the last 12 months and ask yourself these questions:
- What accomplishments am I most proud of this year? What goals did I achieve and what milestones did I reach? These might be things in your business like launching a new campaign, breaking a new revenue record, or implementing a new system to streamline your business. In your personal life, it may be things like getting your garage cleaned-up, taking your dream vacation, or getting your tush in shape.
- What contributions did I make to the world? This is about what you gave back to the people you love, your community and the world at large. Perhaps you volunteered some time or expertise to your local community. It can even be ensuring that your loved ones know and feel loved. Just like the pay-it-forward idea, it creates a powerful ripple effect and deserves the spotlight.
- How did I grow to become a better version of myself? This question is a personal one. Perhaps you flexed your leadership muscles this year, practiced more forgiveness or gratitude, or shifted a limiting belief or your perspective of the world in a positive way. There may be no clear milestone, but as a result, you feel stronger, better and more aligned with who you want to be.
Celebrating your successes builds confidence and motivates. It’s been an amazing year for me, and I thank you from my heart for the opportunity to be of service and do what I love.
