Make it a quickie…

Bridge of Bras: Save the Ta-tas!

This weekend I spent in Eastern Washington with my long-time BFF, Christy, my source of creative inspiration.  Add in a glass of wine, and we have a pluthera of ideas for craft, sewing, home projects, business ideas, stuff we’d like to learn and take-up, vacations we will take to last us a life-time into our 90s.

But who’s got the time??

Enter, The One Week Challenge!  It’s one of my favorite ways to kick-start anything you’ve been putting off in your life.  I love it because it’s not daunting, anyone can do anything for one week, and it will give you some feel good forward momentum with some tangible results.

It’s also super simple to do.  Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • One project/idea/habit that you’ve been thinking about but haven’t implemented.
    • Quitting a bad habit like sugar, caffeine, being late, tv, etc.
    • Starting a new habit like getting up earlier, using a to-do list, eat more veggies, or in business doing consistent follow-up with customers, bookkeeping, blogging, etc.
    • Start learning something new like Spanish, guitar, the Tango.
    • Projects like reorganizing your office, cleaning out the garage, fixing the broken things around your house.
  • An accountability buddy.  This can be someone you trust, or a visible chart for the week.

Directions:

  • Make a decision today, right now, to take on this One Week Challenge to tackle your chosen project.
  • Start today.  Don’t wait till tomorrow or until circustances are just right.  It’s only for seven days.  You can make anything work for seven days.  This is why we call it a challenge!
  • Bring on a buddy and do it together, or use a chart to track your progress through the week.  This keeps it top of mind and will hold you accountable.

Reap the Rewards – here’s what people say about the one week challenge:

  • Wow, it’s amazing what you can get done in one week when you are focused on it.
  • I dont’ want to lose all the great momentum I’ve created, so I’m keeping it going!
  • Now I know what I’m really capable of accomplishing in a week.
  • It feels so good to follow-through with something I’ve been putting off for years!

What challenge will you decide on?  I’d love to hear about your projects and results!
