Take these to heart.

Last Thursday, I spent sometime volunteering at The Hospitality House, a homeless shelter for women in need of temporary housing.  I gave a workshop on goal setting and goal getting for wonderful ladies looking for jobs, permanent housing, and hope for a better life.  I gave them new tools to put in their tool belt to help them set strategies, stay focused and take action towards their goals.

But you know what these gals needed most?  Inspiration, confidence and courage to follow through.  Just like you and me.  So to fuel you up for the week, take-in these wise, inspiring words from some wise, inspiring minds.

Be Courageous.  We all have dreams of what we want to be, could be, could have been, should have been.  It’s the courage to go after our dreams which sets us apart from those who don’t.  Walt got this.

“All our dreams can come true – if we have the courage to pursue them.”

~Walt Disney

Take Action.  Because until you do, nothing happens and it’s all just talk.  And here’s a helpful hint: taking action is the antidote to fear and paralysis.

“What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.”

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Get Back-up.  No baby learns to walk without falling down and life, business, and new projects are no different.  All that matters is that you get up one more time.

“It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.”

~ Vince Lombardi

Enjoy the Ride.  This may be my new favorite quote.  We can’t lose sight of the big picture of life and it’s purpose because we are so blinded by short-term goals.  Find a way to enjoy the whole process.

“In between goals is a thing called life, that has to be lived and enjoyed.”

~Sid Caesar

Dwell on the Positive. Everyday, every moment, you get to choose your mindset, and what you choose defines your experience, and shapes who you are.  So why not be optimistic and positive?

“I know for sure that what we dwell on is who we become.”

~Oprah Winfrey
