Must-Read Summer Biz Books
It’s a little known fact that Bill Gates reads 50 books a year, mostly non-fiction to further his understanding of the world. I’m an avid reader too, especially business and personal development books that help us grow as entrepreneurs, leaders, and enlightened, happy humans.
Reading helps us learn, exposes us to new ideas, helps us think differently, and gain new perspectives on just about any topic. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is feed our minds with great books.
As such, I’d like to share with you my short list of great reads for this summer:
Essentialism:The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown
“Less but better,” is the mantra of this book. McKeown shares strategies in work and life on how to commit less and find and stick to only what is essential for a meaningful, productive life.

A beautiful exploration of creativity and inspiration, Gilbert shares her stories of dealing with fear, and finding courage through curiosity.
Profit First: A Simple System to Transform Any Business From a Cash-Eating Monster to a Money-Making Machine by Mike Michalowicz.
A short and simple read that looks at profit in a whole new light. Michalewicz challenges the idea of bigger is better, and shares his system on how to set-up your business to be healthy and profitable.
The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Businessby Charles Duhigg
